Bey Oro was only shown twice: the first was Scottsdale
1984, he placed Top Ten in a class of sixty, four year old stallions;
the second, in Santa Rosa, he was named Show Champion Stallion. His get
and grandget have had phenomenal success in the Halter division. He sired
two Scottsdale Champion Two Year Old Fillies (one who was named Show Champion
Mare). His daughter Orozaba was U.S. National Champion Halter A.O.T.H.,
U. S. National Top Ten Country English Pleasure and U.S. National Champion
Hunter Pleasure. His daughter, Proclivity, was named Brazilian National
Champion Two Year Old Filly. A granddaughter by Desperado V was named
Region III Sweepstakes Champion Yearling Filly.
Bey Oro was not shown under saddle but his get have won Championships in English Pleasure, Country English Pleasure, Show Hack, Hunter Over Fences, Western Pleasure, Trail and Ladies Side Saddle. He has also sired successful endurance horses and race horses.
At the Red Bluff Show in 1997, his get won all the Junior Horse performance divisions. Khemos China Bey took the Championship in Trail, Junior Horse. Lady Bey Harley earned the Championship in Hunter Pleasure, Junior Horse. Shapika Bey claimed the Championship in Western Pleasure, Junior Horse.
At the Pacific Slopes Championships, O Ivory Bey and Tania Dunlap earned the Championships in Ladies Sidesaddle (Open) and Hunter Pleasure A.O.T.R. At Reno Roy Dunlap and Cygnet SV (Ducky) placed Top Five in the Hunter Pleasure A.O.T.R. 13 and under, and Tania Dunlap and Ivory took home a Top Five in Hunter Pleasure A.O.T.R. 40 and over. At the Snaffle Bit Futurity/Maturity, his daughter Camille SV was named National Champion in the Trail division. Some additional winners are: No Compromise, Champion Country English Pleasure Open at the Whittier Lyons Show in Pomona and Region III Top Five. Shahpika Bey, unanimous Scottsdale Champion, Western Pleasure J.O.T.R. GC Lakota, Scottsdale Top Ten, Hunter Pleasure A.O.T.R. Forfeit SV a winning racehorse and now a winner in the Hunter Pleasure division.
